This is a simple operation and if you can order from Tesco online, this is a doddle.  First you have to be logged in as a member so if you're not a member, choose the Members menu option and create an account for yourself.

Select the Directory menu option. Click the Add Entry option and complete all the fields to provide as much information as possible.

Tip: In order to keep our search engine tidy we use the following conventions:

  • If you do not wish to disclose your address as might be the case for a Child Mminder, simply enter Not Listed in the address fields.
  • If you are not entering a postcode, simply enter N/A instead

Don't forget to upload an image - preferably one about 150px square - and if you can think of some words or phrases that people are likely to search on Google, such as 'cheap widgets in Gotham' or 'flower deliveries in east leake' you should enter them in the Meta Keywords box, and seperate each word or phrase with a comma.

In the Meta Description field, write a brief description such as 'East Leake Hardware - For All Your DIY Needs'.

Next, choose which category is most appropriate for your enterprise. You are allowed three free categories unless you manage all your own adverts - in which case you may choose up to five categories at no extra cost. If we manage your adverts we will charge to £1 a year for each additional category.

That's it! Once your advert is approved and appears in The Directory, you may instruct us to add your goe-location parameters so that you have a pointer on Google Maps. This will help your customers to locate you easily with route directions and local information.

N.B. We NEVER add location details for people offering childcare or other services where the safety or wellbeing of any individual might be compromised. This is why the Street address part of your advertising profile is optional. If you require a location map pointer, please request it via our Contact page.

You may include a blog or photo gallery as part of your membership profile and share them with other users - even on Facebook.
